Our Vacation Bible School program was another huge success. Over 100 volunteers helped to make this an amazing week for 130 children.
The church was filled to bursting with children and crew members. The weather was wonderful for sailing.
Each day brought special miracles and blessings. Sailors sang great new songs like Vast Voyage and Let the Praises Ring and ate wonderful treats such as “Peter’s Jail Mix” and “Forgiveness Clouds.” Kids also made Comfort Pillows and Bopper Poppers, played games 
such as Drip, Drip, Drop and made blankets to be sent to Africa.
Sunday School
Here are the programs we offer:
Infant–3 year olds Program
This wonderful class is located in the nursery downstairs. We use a simple curriculum that teaches through the use of stories, song, and plays the important message of how much Jesus loves us all. Melissa is our Nursery Coordinator and Teacher. She offers a stability and warmth for our littlest church members. Nursery is available during the 8:30 a.m. service and the 10 a.m. service.
4 year olds Program
This class is located downstairs in Sunday School room 4. This is a wonderful program designed for those transitional years between leaving the nursery and heading for older classes. They have a lot of fun on Sunday mornings. This class is held during the 10 a.m. worship service. Mrs. Wheeler is the teacher this year and she comes to us with many years of experience.
1st–5th grade Program
There are two wonderful classes for these two age groups. The 1st–3rd grade class meets downstairs in class room 2. We are using a brand new curriculum this year, BUZZ. The kids seem to love this interactive Bible based program. We have a dedicated group of ladies that rotate
monthly in the teacher and helper positions.
The second group, 4th–5th graders, meets downstairs in room 3. This class is lead by Mrs. Mandeville. She has creatively combined two wonderful curriculums, BUZZ and HANDS ON BIBLE. This class is much more in-depth, taking children a little deeper into the Bible, and their walk with God.
6th–12th grade Program

Parenting Class
This class for parents is conducted in the Fellowship Hall, across from the Sanctuary, during the 10 a.m. worship service.
Topical Sunday School Class
This class is conducted in the Fellowship Hall, across from the Sanctuary, during the 10 a.m. worship service.
There is a wonderful coffee time between services (9:30 – 10 a.m.). Adults can enjoy coffee and a treat in the Fellowship Hall. Children are welcome to head downstairs to their classrooms for treats and some fun before their classes start. Lighthouse kids also have their own snacks during this time.
We do not hold Sunday School during the summer months. Regular Sunday School resumes in September.
Summer Programs
Library
Our
church library now has over 2,200 items. There are books (fiction, non-fiction and reference), videos, DVDs, magazines and Christian music CDs for all age groups. If you would like an item added to the collection, please fill out the request form available in the library. Come in and see what we have for you!
